Steffan graduated with a degree in Psychology with Criminology following which he completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School, London. Steffan went on to graduate from the University of Law in London where he obtained his LPC certificate in 2017 before joining Phillips Barristers and Solicitors, an approved training organisation, in November 2017.
Throughout his training year he worked to Charles Salter, a Pupil Supervisor approved by Lincoln's Inn. Steffan also worked to other partners of the firm, completing his training in the required training areas of Commercial Law, Property Law, Litigation and Private Client in accordance with the Supreme Court (Amendment) Act 2015.
Steffan completed the Professional Certificate of Competence in Gibraltar Law and a Professional Skills Course at the University of Gibraltar.
In January 2019, Steffan was enrolled as Solicitor and Acting Barrister of the Supreme Court of Gibraltar.
During his time as a trainee Steffan has assisted the firm's senior practitioners in Personal Injury and Medical Negligence claims. He has also taken a keen interest in Employment and Commercial disputes. Steffan is looking to build upon his degree in Psychology with Criminology by developing a practice undertaking work relating to Mental Health issues and appearing before the Mental Health Tribunal.
